Our WORD for 2025

Updated: Jan 23

As we welcome 2025, our team is embracing a unique approach to setting goals: choosing a single word to define our year ahead. Unlike traditional resolutions that often lose steam, these words serve as personal guides, grounding and inspiring us through challenges and opportunities. By focusing on one word, we simplify our goals, cutting through the noise to stay true to what matters most.

Astrid chose THRIVE - “The word Thrive means to me is living and creating an environment personally and professionally that I can contribute in a positive and meaningful way that provides joy, peace and financial success. Since I was starting a new job/chapter professionally and wanted to give back in my life in an impactful and positive way.”

Shana chose INTENTIONAL - “To me, that means that I am being very mindful in how I engage in all areas of my life... I chose this word because it is very easy to slip into autopilot when you think about work, relationships and how you are showing up in general. Being intentional means treating every experience, conversation, challenge and win on its own merit and being present.”

Olivia chose CONSISTENCY - “Consistency means showing up and engaging in healthy habits regularly, even if the effort is small. It’s the commitment to repeat an action over time to create momentum and make it a natural part of your routine! I chose this word because it reminds me that progress happens when small steps are made - holding myself accountable.”

Tanya chose PRESENT - “Present or rather, Be Present, means being focused on the experience of the moment, not distracted through multi-tasking, devices, or my anxiety spiral. I am a notorious multi-tasker. I have 10 tabs open at a time. I'm on my phone while the kids talk about Fortnite. My brain can't be in 2 places at once, and I regularly try to force it to split.”

Jay chose REFLECT - “This means to always keep an eye on where you were. So you can get to where you want to be. This word inspired me while reviewing 2024 and preparing for the new year.”

Laura chose GROUNDED - “I chose ‘grounded’ because it reflects my desire to establish a strong foundation in every area of my life. Being grounded will allow me to create clarity and structure, helping myself to focus on what truly matters. It also represents staying present, centered, and intentional in my actions and decisions, ensuring that both personal growth and professional success align with my values and long-term vision. I believe by prioritizing order and definition, I am setting myself up to navigate challenges with confidence and achieve my goals with purpose.”
